Reiki was developed at the beginning of the 20th century by the Japanese scholar Mikao Usui (1865-1926). The term Reiki is derived from the Japanese words "rei" (meaning "soul, spirit") and "ki" (the individual life energy or force). Together, they form the Japanese Reiki symbol.

Reiki is a form of therapeutic energy work that operates on the physical, mental, and spiritual levels. Mikao Usui developed five principles:

• Be kind to people.

• Work diligently.

• Do not get angry.

• Do not worry.

• Be grateful.

He referred to these as "spiritual medicine," meant to serve the spiritual healing process. A Reiki practitioner, who has received various "Reiki attunements" from a Reiki Master or Teacher as part of their training, primarily uses "the universal life energy" (Reiki). They draw this energy from their surroundings and channel it to wherever the Reiki recipient needs it.

Reiki as an energy therapy is based on the concept of changing energetic body vibrations: energetic vibrations that have been disrupted by stress or illness are harmonized through Reiki, thereby stimulating the self-healing powers of the body, mind, and spirit.

Application During the treatment, you will feel the universal life energy flowing through my hands, either placed on or held above your body. Treatment typically begins at the head, followed by the front and back of the body. You will generally experience deep relaxation. Various physical sensations such as warmth, tingling, a feeling of floating, or even falling asleep are common. The treatment can last up to 1 hour, depending on the underlying issues.

In addition to my dedication to coaching & mentoring, I devoted my time in Shanghai to intensive study of Reiki. I spent four transformative years training to become a Reiki Master. Every day was a profound experience of learning, self-discovery, and connecting with this powerful healing art.

To this day, I maintain valuable contact with my instructor from Shanghai.
